Isn't It Time To Get Your Life Back?

Living with chronic ear discomfort can be a never-ending battle, constantly disrupting daily routines and affecting one's overall well-being. For many, it's a silent struggle that can overshadow the joys of everyday life.

You are not alone. Studies show that up to 5% of US adults have Eustachian tube dysfunction (ET) - a condition in which the tubes that connect your middle ears to your upper throat become blocked.

Traditionally, finding relief meant using intranasal steroid sprays, oral steroids, or ear tube surgery to reduce inflammation and relieve pain. Now, Dr. Redmond can offer you significant, lasting relief with the ACCLARENT AERA® Eustachian Tube Balloon Dilation System, the first-of-its-kind, safe and minimally invasive treatment for ETD.

Frequently Asked Questions

HOW does acclarent AERA Work?

During the procedure, the ACCLARENT AERA® Eustachian Tube Balloon Dilation System guides a small balloon through your nose and into your Eustachian tube. Once positioned, the balloon Is inflated to relieve pressure or blockage, and after widening the tube, it's deflated and removed.

What do you mean by minimally invasive?

By 'minimally invasive.' we mean that the procedure is designed to cause the least amount of trauma and disruption to the body. This is an outpatient procedure that preserves natural anatomy with no cuts or incisions, which may result in a short recovery time.

What are the differences between the  acclarent aera® eustachian tube balloon dilation system and ear tubes?

Both are meant to restore hearing and comfort and minimize ear pressure. But ear tubes are devices intended to be placed long-term in the ear drum, while treatment with the ACCLARENT AERA® is a brief procedure that does not require any placement of tubes or devices.

How does the acclarent AERA® procedure compare to using nasal sprays?

While nasal srays can provide temporary relief by reducing inflommation mild congestion, they may not address the root cause of the problem. The ACCLARENT AERA® procedure aims to physically widen the Eustachian tube, promoting better ventilation and drainage, providing lasting relief from symptoms, and reducing the dependency on recurring medication.
